Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, August 20, 2012
Page 10
Prior to reading Ordinance No. 2012-26, Mr. Marrie stated, at the Finance Committee meeting
this evening, we approved it, but we thought it might be smart to put a comment in there stating,
"with correction from the Law Department letter dated August 20t'" because of the wording on
that one section, I believe number 5.
Ms. Calta replied, number 5 correct: T'here's a redundant sentence in paragraph 5. There were
some corrections made last year. The first sentence and the second sentence appear to be rather
redundant. The first uses medical costs. The other uses necessary medical costs. That is
redundant. That's going to come out and then we aze just going to throw in one word, the word
"further" is going to be inserted into the second sentence which will become the first, just to
make sense.
• First Reading of Ordinance No. 2012-26, entitled, "An emergency ordinance
authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the City of Bedford
Heights for boaxding of prisoners." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Cbuncil as a Whole.
As Amended with regard to paragraph S.

Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Rules Suspended
?
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2012-26 as
amended with regard to paragraph 5.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any additional questions or comments.
There were none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
Resolution No. 2012-16 -"An emergency resolution declazing the necessity for
providing for the payment of street lighting and the improvement or installation of
additional lighting by special assessment of all parcels benefited." Introduced by Mayor
Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2012-16.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any questions or comments. There were none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Resolution Adopted
