Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, September 17, 2012
Page 4
BUILDING - John 1Vgarrelli
Mr. Marrelli stated, the Mayor was correct in assiuning that the Library is ahead of schedule. I
predict that they are probably 4-6 weeks ahead of schedule. They have had great weather days.
If you haven't noticed, the football field is done. We had the Grand Opening last week. The
reports I had was it was a fantastic opening. Everything worked well. That part is done. There is
still other work going on in the High School inside. That will be ongoing for probably 6-8
months. A couple other projects have kicked off, like Preformed Line. They are digging in the
back of their building. It is in the foundation stage. A couple other ofFce jobs are going. Other
than that, everything's rtuuung smooth. Keep your fmgers crossed. We'll get into winter and
everything will be kind of tucked away.
Mrs. Cinco asked, what's going on with Deacon's?
Mr. Marrelli replied, Deacon's is right at the edge of filing a consolidation plat and a final
landscaping plan. Once that's done, it's a green light, it's go.
Mayor Rinker stated, the Musca Mall is really looking very good. They are doing a very good
quality job. You mentioned that the bank also wanted to do a facelift?
Mr. Marrelli replied, yes. They were approved on Thursday for their facelift. Ron can speak
better to the ins and outs of that.
Council President Pro Tem Marrie asked, that collection box, I don't know who it's from, there's
no name on it.
Mr. Marrelli stated, I called about it. I am expecting a message back from somebody. Somebody
put a collection box right up by the sign on the corner for clothes. I called the number and left a
message.
Mr. Delguyd asked, did they call Musca?
Mr. Marrelli replied, Joe is such a nice landlord. If somebody says, can I do this, he says okay.
Council President Pro Tem Marrie stated, just so they put it somewhere else, rather than right
there.
Mr. Marrelli will make sure that that doesn't stay there.
Mayor Rinker stated, you reminded me, a lot of the big stuff that now is very visible near the
Community Room is getting relocated as well. Between dumpsters and other drop offs.
Mr. Marrelli stated, it makes a difference.
Mayor Rinker agreed. Things you don't notice all of a sudden pop out.
