People are either buying houses, tearing them down and building new or taking <br />whatever land we have left and building. It's exciting. <br />Board of Auneals - Mr. Marrelli reported, Board of Appeals will meet tomorrow night for one <br />item on Beta Drive. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Mills reported, the Garden Club is in the midst of planting Fall bulbs. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Marrie reported, there was no meeting. The next meeting is <br />next Monday. It will be held at Parkview Pool to go over items down there instead of ineeting <br />here. Mayor Rinker added, bring your walking shoes. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported, Safety and Service met on Tuesday the 4I' of <br />September. At that tixne we d'iscussed Euclid Creek Watershed Program renewal, the Cuyahoga <br />County Solid Waste Management Plan, and we approved and passed on to Finance the sodium <br />hypochlorite and uric acid for Parkview Pool. We also had a lengthy discussion on the K-9 dog. <br />All items are on the agenda tonight. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marrie reported, we had our meeting this evening. There were 11 <br />items, one Ordinance and two Resolutions. All items are on the agenda this evening. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills reported, we had our Ice Cream Social last Wednesday. It was <br />very well attended. Our next project will be the Quilt Show in this room on October 12th and <br />13?`. Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Delguyd reported that we met on September 8t'. I will <br />defer to Ted on some of the details, but it was pretty well attended. We had members of Team <br />NEO, the County govern.ment and Employrnent Connections, which is a City/County not-for- <br />profit connecting employers with out of work employees. Mr. Esborn added, it was an excellent <br />selection of speakers. Those three individuals were able to hit three key aspects of that kind of <br />development. The representative from Team NEO, among other things, talked about business <br />attraction. The representative from the County Department of Development talked about the <br />whole range of new initiatives being sparked by the Fitzgerald Administration. Of most interest <br />to me was the discussion about site improvements and possible funding available for site <br />improvements. The gentleman from Employment Connections talked about workforce <br />development which is an underdiscussed but very important piece of economic development. It <br />was a great discussion. It was of a regional nature. People were able to ask questions pertinent <br />to their own cities. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. T'homas reported, MARC met this past Thursday. Unfortunately, I was not <br />there and have not received the Minutes yet. The next meeting is on October 4t'. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - There was no meeting. There is no report. <br />Planning and Zonin? - There was no meeting. There is no report.
