Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, November 17, 2014 <br />Page 4 <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, are we getting the word out to people about the meeting on <br />the 24~'? <br />Mayor Rinker replied, this is primarily for those organizations. People can come to them like <br />they come to a Council meeting. <br />COMMENTS FROM COg.TNCIL PRESIDENT BITCKHOLTZ <br />There were no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT~HEAD REPORTS: <br />SERVICE -Douglas Metzun~ <br />Mr. Metzung reported, in the middle of leaf season, someone dumped a snow storm. We are <br />hoping for a thaw so we can complete leaf season this Fall. We have not done any Spring clean- <br />up. We have always had a thaw beforehand. Let's root for that. We will complete leaf season <br />through the middle of December and will then officially allow winter to begin. <br />BUILDING -John Marrelli <br />There was no report. <br />ENGINEERING -Tom Cappello <br />There was no report. <br />LEGAL DEPARTMENT -Joe Diemert <br />There was no report. <br />FIRE -Chief Eugene Carcioppolo <br />Chief Carcioppolo reported, the Fire Department will be posting afull-time Civil Service <br />examination this week in the paper based off of the new revised Civil Service Rules. It will be to <br />fill much needed vacant positions in our department. That will post on Thursday. <br />Mr. Saponaro asked, what positions? <br />Chief Carcioppolo replied, entry level firefighter. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, any other questions? There were none. <br />
