Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, Apri121, 2014
Page 6
Council President Buckholtz stated there's nothing to act on then. Okay. Anything else?
There was nothing further to report.
ADMINISTRATION - Diane Wolgamuth
Ms. Wolgamuth stated, I just wanted to mention that the electricity for The Grove is out to bid.
The bids are expected in on May 2nd. There is a Caucus meeting on the 5th. If the bids come in
and all looks good, we may be requesting a Special Meeting to try to pass that on the 5t'.
STANDING COMNIITTEE REPORTS:
Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Pancake Breakfast is in May. We all have
to get ready for that. Our next meeting is May 6'. .
Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli stated, there was no meeting. There is no report.
Board of Anpeals - Mr. Marrelli stated, Board of Appeals met and denied the commercial
business temporary banner for 271 for the time being.
Mr. Jerome asked, did they have one there existing?
Mr. Marrelli replied, banners are limited to six months at a time. They had run out of time.
Unfortunately they have not been monitoring this banner. Tt turned into a tattered rag. When I
took pictures of it, the Board was not happy with it. They stated, you have had these for 10 years
and you are still coming back for more. To follow up on that, they asked that I turn it over to the
Planning Department to do something about these leasing signs that are supposedly temporary
that are turning into permanent because there's always something for lease somewhere. We have
to look at that whole scenario.
Mr. Esborn added, Dave Hartt and I met with John and Diane last Thursday. It looks like the
route we are going to go at least initially is to look at treating the, right now we treat banner signs
facing 271 the same as signs in the front yards of properties on Beta. Drive. We are looking to be
more specific about these on-building signs facing 271. We have some ideas about area
regulations for those specific signs.
Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills stated, there is no report.
Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Marrie reported, Citizen's Advisory met on the 31St. Bill
Thomas gave a presentation on what we have to offer to our residents, especially the new
Wildcat Sport and Fitness Center.
Safetv and Service - Mr. Marrie reported, Safety and Service met on April 7h. All the items on
the agenda were referred to Finance. They are also on the agenda for tonight.
