Regular Council Minutes <br />6-16-03 <br />Page 11 <br />^ A motion to authorize the sale by Mayfield Village to Chicago Motors Inc. of one: <br />2001 FORD CROWN VICTORIA - 4 DOOR -VIN: 2FAFP71W31X160349 <br />in the amount of $6,911.00 <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize the sale by Mayfield Village to <br />Chicago Motors Inc. of one: 2001 FORD CROWN VICTORIA - 4 DOOR -VIN: <br />2FAFP71W31X160349 in the amount of $6,911.00. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. There were no comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Sale Authorized <br />Mr. Marrie said for the record, all of those bids [with respect to the car sales] went to the highest <br />bidders and it was a sealed bid. <br />^ A motion to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract for the 2003 street striping <br />project -Pat Flowers, Inc. in the amount of $13,748.66. <br />Council President Buckholtz commented it is not the lowest bidder but we have worked with Pat <br />Flowers who we've worked with before; of the other vendors that we've worked with, he <br />definitely does the best job. Mayor Rinker said he has the best track record so to speak. Mr. <br />Hovancsek said he is the lowest and most responsive. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked, when do you expect them to start? <br />Mr. Metzung said I have no idea. Pat will get underway fairly quickly. Typically we hold off a <br />little bit to be closer to school. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said once we've notified Mr. Flowers that he has the contract, at that point we <br />will have apre-con meeting and we will find out very quickly when he can fit this in his contract. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Contract/Expenditure Authorized <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 2003-19, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing an <br />agreement with Metlife Insurance Company as and for an Employee Dental Program." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Riter, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2003-19. <br />
