Regular Council Minutes
6-16-03
Page 16
Mr. Brett said no. Mrs. Cinco said we could look back at the ordinance but at one time I did
some research to see whether in northeast Ohio there were children or families----. Mr. Brett
said or scholarship funds. Council President Buckholtz said we've talked about it before. Let's
take the month. If we need to talk about it between now and then and email each other or
whatever, and talk to people in the community; people may know somebody; if we really
network this issue, I think we can come up with something creative and something to do with
$15,000 that will have more of an impact than just shipping if off to amulti-million dollar Red
Cross fund.
Executive Session
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to recess into executive session for real
estate and personnel matters.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Council went into executive session at 8:57 p.m.
Council reconvened at 9:03 p.m.
ANY OTHER MATTER BEFORE COUNCIL
There were no other matters before Council.
CLOSING COMMENTS
Motion Carried
Lt. Dearden said the repaving project seems to be getting ready to be finalized by the end of this
week they should have it striped and the loops replaced.
Mr. Marquardt said with all the West Nile mosquito talk going around, what are we doing?
Mrs. Mills said we have put the pellets in the catch basins.
Mayor Rinker said we haven't had any update from the County and Doug has already gone so I
don't have a quick answer to that. They have found 4 dead birds in the County. In the Voice of
the Village we sent around a flyer that indicated to look for detailed information; also directing
people to look to the County's website. Effectively, what we do is work with the Cuyahoga
County Board of Health on those issues. I don't have a quick answer on that.
Mr. Marquardt asked we don't have any specifics at this point?
Mayor Rinker said other than what we've specifically provided, no. No specific as to spraying.
Mrs. Mills said the pellets are supposed to last 5 months as it washes through the sewers

1
