Caucus/Regular Council Mtg. 7-14-03 Page 12 r , Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Riter said Hillcrest Council of Councils has not met since our last meeting. Historical Society -Mrs. Mills said on July 9, the Historic House was open for a tour of the Mayfield Village Garden Club. Today, our fire extinguishers were updated for the year. All quilters found their way to the house by way of the detour due to road construction. The latest quilt on the frame will be raffled off at the Ice Cream Social on September 10. M.A.R.C. - Mr. Marrie said there was no report. Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marrie said there was no report. Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said there was no report. Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie said there was no meeting, we don't meet in the summer. The next meeting will be in September. Sewer Liaison Committee -Council President Buckholtz said there was no report. Stormwater Management -Mrs. Cinco said they did not meet this month. Special Committee Reuorts: t _ ~ S.O.M. Center Road Widening -Mrs. Mills said I have to commend the police force and fire department. I think everything is going very well. It seems now that the trees and bushes are cut the citizens are appreciating the beautiful vista that that is going to present to them. John Bernot has been very, very attentive. Wage Negotiations - Dr. Parker said the Committee will be meeting this evening with Council to discuss the latest negotiations that we've had between Mr. Brett and the Police Union. We will also tentatively plan a meeting with the Fire union. 2020 Vision Committee - Mr. Marquardt said they met June 25 in the Community Room. There was discussion on the policy implementation strategy outline. Mrs. Mills said the next meeting will be September 17. That will be a general meeting for the committee. The public meeting will be October 29. OLD ZBUSINESS 1 Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2003-18 (as amended), entitled; "An ordinance revising the zone map of Mayfield Village, Ohio so as to amend the use classification of 6.6 acres of vacant = land located on the west side of S.O.M. Center Road immediately south of the Mt. Vernon Office Building also known as permanent parcel nos. 831-13-003, 831-13-006 and 831-13-017, from its current classification of U-1 "Residential District" and "Office Laboratory" to "Planned _~
