11-17-03 <br />Regular Council Minutes <br />Page 15 <br />-~ ~~ ROUGHDRAFT -NOT REVIEWED OR APPROVED BY COUNCIL <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize an expenditure not to exceed <br />$3,500 to Ballash Press for the Winter issue of the Parks & Recreation Brochure. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. There was none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Motion Carried <br />^ A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $2,774 to Williams Detroit <br />Diesel-Allison for emergency repair to the generator <br />Mr. Marrie, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of <br />$2,774 to Williams Detroit Diesel-Allison for emergency repair to the generator. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Chief Mohr 11/10/03) <br />Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to accept the Tornado Warning Siren Procedure <br />for Activation as the Mayfield Village warning siren protocol (as presented by Chief Mohr 11/10/03. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mrs. Cinco requested that a copy of the Tornado Warning Siren Procedure for Activation be <br />included with the minutes. <br />Mr. Marquardt said if it addresses a tornado warning in Cuyahoga County, are we narrowing <br />down-because there is a lot of them that are farther south---- <br />Chief Mohr said yes. There is a new alert radio system out by National Weather Service that states it <br />upon zip code. So that when the unit is set off it would narrow down that particular area. I agree that <br />we would not want to sound a siren if something was occurring in Strongsville or Broadview <br />Heights, but if it was coming down our corridor, yes. <br />Dr. Parker asked, do we need to include Lake County since Willoughby is so close to us there? <br />Chief Mohr said no. They have a siren system that sounds and can be heard at the north end but <br />whether or not there is a tornado warning for Cuyahoga County or Lake County, I am just taking <br />
