11-17-03
Regular Council Minutes
Page 3
ROUGHDRAFT - NOT REVIEWED OR APPROVED RY COUNCIL
Mr. Loewer said it is mostly l Ot", 11~' and 12t" and there are generally about 25 kids consistently,
Mrs. Cinco asked, so what you are looking from Council. is interest?
Dr. Price said yes at this point. It is not so much interest as to go, no go; but interest in doing a
study.
Dr. Parker suggested if someone were interested in doing a senior project such as to evaluate
Mayfield Village and determine where we might want to go to and then present that to us. Maybe
that will help troubleshoot how we might approach it or use it; where we might want to go.
Several members of Council said that was a good idea.
Dr. Price said they would like it. They would take it very seriously. The outcome could be where
Mayfield Village decides to go. I would want them to look K-12 to see what would be the
effect and the relationship for elementary, middle and high school students. They will do a really
nice job.
Mrs. Cinco said maybe they could pick out 2 or 3 things we could look at.
Dr. Parker added and we could decide from it.
Dr. Price said he would anticipate that means a report back to Council probably late spring.
Council President Buckholtz asked if this is something they are taking to the other communities
as well.
Dr. Price said it is really not. A lot has to do with where the high school [is located.] Because the
high school is based in Mayfield Village, it is a very natural thing. When you fill out the
application, they will want to know where the schools are. If they know the high school level is
within the Village, that is important to them. Plus, there is an elementary [school] here.
CONSIDERATION OF 1VIINUTES
Regular Council Meeting -October 20, 2003 - Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a
motion to approve the minutes of October 20, 2003.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Minutes Approved
- COMMENTS>rRC~1~~1 MAYOR' RINKER
