11-17-03 <br />Regular Council Minutes <br />Page 8 <br />ROUGH DRAFT -NOT REVIEWED OR APPROVED BY COUNCIL <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2003-33, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing and <br />directing that a portion of the funds collected from area businesses in the days after the horrific <br />events of September 11, 2001 be allocated to initiate the purchase of a fire house vehicle and <br />inviting all communities within the Mayfield School District to join in the purchase." Introduced <br />by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 9/22/03; Second Reading 10/20/03.) <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2003-33. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mrs. Mills said we have not heard from WalMart whether we got the grant or not. She will call <br />him again. <br />Council President Buckholtz said he would like to thank Council and the Mayfield Village <br />businesses and residents who contributed to this. I am glad to see that the money is going to be <br />kept in the area and used for something worthwhile. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />~ ~ Ordinance Enacted <br />__ <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2003-35, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing the <br />Mayor to amend Chapter 153 of the codified ordinances of Mayfield Village pertaining to <br />Employment Provisions, repealing such other Ordinances as are inconsistent herewith." Introduced <br />by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 10/22/03) <br />Council President Buckholtz said we will leave that on second read. <br />Second Readin$ of Ordinance No. 2003-36, entitled; "An emergency ordinance pertaining to <br />the Wages, Benefits, and other terms and conditions of Employment for Employees of Mayfield <br />Village for the calendar years 2003-2005, repealing all ordinances inconsistent herewith." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 10/22/03) <br />Council President Buckholtz said we will leave that on second read. <br />Second Reading of Resolution No. 2003-05, entitled, "An emergency resolution establishing terms, <br />conditions and compensation for the services of the Prosecutor." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and <br />Council as a Whole. (First Reading 10/22/03) <br />Council President Buckholtz said we will leave that on second read. <br />Second Reading of Resolution No. 2003-06, entitled, "A resolution re-establishing terms, <br />conditions and compensation for the services of the Director of Law and declaring an emergency." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
