Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, December 21, 2015 <br />Page 5 <br />They also will be doing a 6-week yoga class from January 15~' to February 19~'. We ,will still <br />hold Lunch N Movies with the Partnership on Aging. Governor's Village has offered this to the <br />Village and we should accept it. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Information & Technology -Council President Marrie stated, the IT Committee met on <br />November 23~ to discuss technology for Council and in general for 2016. There is more to <br />come on that at a later date. <br />Records Commission -There was no meeting. There is no report. <br />Community and Economic Development - Mr. Saponaro reported, we met this evening. We <br />discussed a potential new company that is looking to relocate into the Village, specifically at the <br />600 Beta property which has sat vacant for 11 years. This is good news. They are under new <br />ownership. We are going through that process right now. We are not in a position to disclose <br />information. The committee does not know the specific company either at this point. As things <br />develop, we will make you aware of it. We had the agreement signed with Freedonia. We are in <br />the process of finalizing with Mars regarding final things on their end but from our end we are <br />poised and ready to go. <br />The Grove Committee - Mr. Jerome stated, we met on December 14~' for a lengthy meeting. <br />We discussed considerations for bandshell options. We discussed current infrastructure including <br />uplighting that has been installed around several trees. It's on a timer along with the bollards <br />that were installed a couple years ago. We discussed future lighting for the performers. The <br />program is almost complete for 2016. We discussed Cruise Night possibly moving to the Grove <br />area. We discussed how the fireworks could affect the Grove. We also discussed potential <br />summer staffing. <br />Community Room Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported, the Committee has not met. We will <br />hopefully meet in January to look at the development and go from there. <br />OLD:BUSINESS; <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2015-24, entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance <br />amending Section 955.04 of the Codified Ordinances relative to the Committee members <br />from Council on the Committee." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />(First Reading- October 19, 2015; Second Reading -November 16, 2015) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2015-24. <br />Council President Marrie asked, any discussion? There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Ordinance Enacted <br />
