Get the word out and encourage <br />people to give us some feedback or contribute. <br />Council President Buckholtz commented that Citizen's Advisory was kind of in a slump there for <br />a while. Mr. Marrie stated, they are no longer in a slump. Council President Buckholtz said, <br />these guys sound really busy now. Mr. Marrie agreed that they are. There is a lot more <br />enthusiasm being involved in something. Before, a few of the people felt they did not really have <br />anything to get their teeth into. Now that they have a few items, one being the tax which is <br />extremely important. There is a lot more discussion and involvement. Mayor Rinker stated, it <br />has been a good sounding board. Council President Buckholtz credited Mr. Marrie and Mr. <br />Mason. Mr. Marrie disagreed, asking that the credit be left to Jim Mason. He is the Chairman. <br />He is the one that really lights the fire. Council President Buckholtz stated, it seems over time <br />that Committees have a tendency to have their brighter moments and then they kind of dip a little <br />bit. It sounds like they are really on top of everything. <br />Commission on Agin? - There was no report. <br />Safetv and Service - All items were on Finance. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported that the Committee met this evening. We had 17 <br />items and 7 Ordinances that we recommended approval. We will have further discussion on <br />these items as they come up for vote on the floor. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if this is where we would like to talk about the possibility of <br />moving the meeting. Mr. Saponaro replied, we certainly can talk about it now or we can talk <br />about it at the end of the meeting. <br />Mayor Rinker recommended that the Committee talk to department heads. See what their feeling <br />is. Ultimately it's really the working relationship between Council and the various administrative <br />departments on how well this does or does not function. Mr. Saponaro said, we will do that. <br />Mayor Rinker added, that's been his concern. Some feedback he has gotten is sort of all over the <br />place. He wants to make sure we get focused. , <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, if the off-Monday works, it kind of fits the model of some <br />kind of a flow. He understands that having it just before Council is a little quick. Having two of <br />them is a little bit cumbersome and redundant and having it before Caucus does not make sense. <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, you came up with some interesting points. Mrs. Mills <br />replied that she raised the point. Council President Buckholtz wanted to make sure it is on the <br />record about the discussion of making the meeting more timely, pertinent and interactive <br />between Caucus and the end result. That should be looked at. Whatever you guys come up with, <br />he would be interested in hearing about. <br />Mr. Saponaro asked, so since we don't have a meeting scheduled until the next Council meeting, <br />do we want to make sure we put on the agenda at the next Council meeting this discussion or is
