Minutes of the Special Meeting of Council
7-6-10
Page 2
• Motion to authorize expenditure in an amount not to exceed $6,000 to Southeastern
Road Equipment for the replacement of the center arm of the Case 650.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize expenditure in an amount not to
exceed $6,000 to Southeastern Road Equipment for the replacement of the center arm of the
Case 650.
Mr. Metzung reported this is our large loader. The center arm that controls the bucket broke on
Thursday. It doesn't work without it. Mr. Metzung passed around pictures.
Mrs. Cinco stated that this item was discussed in Safety and Service and approved.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any other discussion. There was none.
Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Expenditure Authorized
• First Reading of Ordinance No. 2010-28, entitled, "An emergency
ordinance adopting a tax budget for Mayfield Village, Ohio for the tax year
2011." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Rules Suspended
Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2010-28.
Council President Buckholtz asked Mr. Wynne to comment.
Mr. Wynne reported that we are required by July 15th of every year to submit a preliminary
tax budget for the coming fiscal year. That is what this report is. It's very conservative.
He assumed revenues will stay the same with the exception of the impact with the tax
increase. He also factored into the expense budget $1.5 million in capital infrastructure
expenditures and capital equipment needs and some additional debt payments that we have
historically made. He also made allowances for things like the police station. This is not
final by any means. It is just preliminary. We will be passing the final budget the early
part of next year like we always do.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any question or discussion. There was
none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Ordinance Enacted
1.
i
?
-._?\
