Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, March 21, 2011 Page 15 Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $2,500.00 to Mayfield Township Historical Society for donation for maintenance and preservation of Bennett VanCuren Museum. Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $2,500.00 to Mayfield Township Historical Society for donation for maintenance and preservation of Bennett VanCuren Museum. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $17,000 to SPAN for 2011 dues. Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $17,000 to SPAN for 2011 dues. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Is this amount up a little bit? Mr. Saponaro replied, no. It's in line with last year. We also discussed the other communities that contribute to this. Mr. Saponaro asked Lieutenant Edelman to explain what SPAN is. Lieutenant Edelman replied, SPAN is a regional affiliation with the police departments in this area. We share resources and costs for vaxious services such as the SWAT team and other expenditures. Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $2,736.00 to Mayfield City Schools for rental fee for Men's Basketball League at the Fieldhouse. i Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Mr. Saponaro stated, this would be considered a pass-through. We collect this in the fees and then pay this at one time. This is the time that it's due.
