Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, March 21, 2011 <br />Page 6 <br />POLICE - Lieutenant Edelman <br />There was no report. <br />PARKS & RECREATION - Bill Thomas <br />Mr. Thomas stated, everyone has received their Spring/Summer Parks and Recreation brochure, <br />I am assuming. We will be starting the Spring/Summer programs in another couple weeks. <br />ARCHITECT - Ron Dinardo <br />Mr. Dinardo reported that Mr. Musca has submitted drawings to the ARB for the remodeling <br />project at his shopping center. The remodeling project is for the front canopy portion. You will <br />have to stay tuned and see what happens but we have been working with him for several weeks <br />on a design. Everybody will be pleasantly surprised. <br />HUMAN SERVICES - Eunice Kalina <br /> <br />Mrs. Kalina reported that they have an AARP Safe Driving Class this week. We still have room <br />if anyone would like to participate. It's $12.00 for AARP members and $14.00 for non- <br />members. It is a four hour class from 12:30-4:30. Many insurance companies offer discounts for <br />those who have completed it. It's all classroom. No on-the-road. We are working on some trips <br />and our Anniversary Party in May. <br />PLANNING DEVELOPMENT - Ted Esborn <br />There was nothing to report. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that our next meeting will be on April 5t' here in <br />this room at 6:45. Anyone in the audience who would like to volunteer at the Mother's Day <br />Pancake Breakfast, please call the office. They have a big schedule that needs to be filled in <br />order to make this a wonderful event again this year. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that Architectural Review Board met on <br />the 24 , working on the Musca Plaza Renovations. We will meet again this Thursday to finalize <br />the plan. <br />Beautification- Mr. Saponaro reported that the Beautification Committee met on March lst. The <br />Committee formulated the Beautification Committee guidelines. We received a report from our <br />Committee member working with Urban Growers for the hanging baskets. We discussed the <br />Victory/Community Garden and the possibility of putting together a seminar regarding that. <br />Stay tuned. We will get some more information. Arbor Day is going to be on May 6t'. We are <br />inviting some local schoolchildren to participate. We are also going to provide them with
