MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Wednesday, March 30, 2011- 8:00 p.m. <br />Mayfield Village Civic Hall <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Meeting on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 8:00 <br />p.m. in the Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Council President Buckholtz called the meeting to <br />order. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills <br />Mr. Saponaro, Dr. Parker and Mr. Marquardt <br />Absent: Mrs. Cinco <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Wynne, Lieutenant Edelman <br />and Mrs. Betsa <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />? <br />• Open Portion - 5-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first <br />state their name and address. (Discussion must be limited to agenda items only). <br />There were no comments. <br />• Third Readine of Ordinance No. 2011-11, entitled, "An emergency ordinance <br />authorizing an agreement with Anthem as and for employee health care and <br />hospitalization benefits and life insurance and AD&D benefits." Introduced by Mayor <br />Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading - Maxch 21, 2011; Second Reading - <br />March 24, 2011) <br />Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2011-11. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Dr. Parker stated, overall, very well done. I would hope that maybe sometime in this year, <br />I know we talked about it; we would look at the idea of whether we should consider <br />implementing the HSA so that it would be effective in January and we could maximize the <br />benefits over the calendar year in terms of whatever IRS and tax ramifications are <br />necessary. <br />Mayor Rinker asked Ron if he has any comment or just a thought to add to it.
