Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, July 18, 2011 Page 4 FINANCE - Ron Wynne Mr. Wynne had several items. The audit for 2010 has been completed and we will be having a conference with the State Auditor's Office later on this week to review their comments and findings. That report will be available to the public shortly thereafter. On Thursday of next week, July 28th, I will be meeting. downtown at the County office with the Tax Incentive Review Committee to go over our TIFs and the status of those TIFs to make sure that they are all in compliance so that they can be renewed for the coming year. The final piece is that later on this evening Council will be considering legislation for the sale and issuance of $2,900,000 in Notes which is actually paying off our $3,400,000 Notes down to $2,900,000. Everybody should have a copy of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate at their station which talks about what those $2,900,000 in Notes have made up for and when they were originally dated. This is a requirement of the process to issue those Notes. POLICE - Chief Edelman Chief Edelman reported that late last night, arrests were made in connection with thefts from autos. This happened in Highland Heights with the assistance of Mayfield Village and Mayfield Heights Police Departments. A resident in one of the neighboring houses in Highland Heights saw something suspicious and called the police. An adult male and a juvenile female were arrested in connection with this. Council President Buckholtz stated, nice work. Thank you. PARKS & RECREATION - Bill Thomas Mr. Thomas reported that last Friday we took our Teen Adventure Camp white water rafting to Ohio Pyle, Pennsylvania. All campers and counselors and parents had a great time. All came back safely with the exception of a few scrapes. Yesterday we held our 12th Annual Summer Sizzler Swim Meet. We had a tremendous day. Between 275 and 300 swimmers participated. Our Summer Camps will end this Friday. We held the 22"d Annual Debbie Hudacko Memorial Run, 2 mile and 5 mile run. With the help of Rich's staff, it was a safe run. We had 125 participate. The Fall brochure goes to the press next week. ARCHITECT - Ron Dinardo There was no report. HUMAN SERVICES - Eunice Kalina Mrs. Kalina reported that there is an item on the agenda asking Council for the authorization to go out to bid for the Senior Snow Removal Program. We have an August 5 th trip to the Terminal
