Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, December 19, 2011 <br />Page 2 <br />I also wanted to say thank you to Mayfield Village for assisting hosting this. Their efforts of Doug <br />and his secretary, assistant Sue, for helping us put this on. These are two day classes each time with <br />lunch and everything eLse. I would like to present the Mayor if it's all right, this small token of our <br />appreciation for hosting a Tree Commission Academy program. <br />Mayor Rinker thanked Mr. Siewart. <br />That is all I have, if there aze no questions. <br />Mayor Rinker stated, I do have a couple of observations. Thank you. I understand that Doug only <br />failed one course and that was the genealogy of Ginkgo trees. I think for Council's benefit you ought <br />to be aware that we went through some pretty extensive discussions regarding all of the trees that we <br />planted on SOM Center Road. You may recall that we had some challenges with the first cmp. Mr. <br />Siewart was very insttumental in our being able to make the case to replenish a lot of the trees that <br />were lost that first season. Very critical input on his part. We do appreciate that Thank you <br />Mr. Siewart replied, the Tree Commission Academy was a lot more enjoyable event though. <br />Mayor Rinker stated, I can well imagine that. <br />Mr. Siewart stated, thank you very much. <br />Council President Buckholtz thanked Mr. Siewart for coming. It's nice to lmow that Doug is now <br />smarter than the average bear. Do we have anybody else that would like to address Couneil? <br />There were no further comments. <br />ONSIDERATION OF 1VIINUTES : <br />Regular Council Meeting - November 21. 2011 <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to approve the minutes as written. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved as written <br />CONIIVIENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker stated, if I may take the liberty at tliis time. It's on our agenda.. We have a <br />Resolution for Eunice Kalina who is retiring. It's always a bittersweet time when at the end of <br />the year we seem to reflect upon transitions. Every year has its own kind of unique stamp. This <br />year is especially significant. We want to recognize Eunice for almost a quarter of a century of <br />service and maybe even longer, but at least that's officially what we aze acknowledging.
