Regular Council Meeting Minutes 11-15-10 Page 12 Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $2,855.25 to Winter Equipment for cutting edges for plow trucks. Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $2,855.25 to Winter Equipment for cutting edges for plow trucks. Council President Buckholtz asked, these are new edges for our plows? Mr. Metzung reported, these are actually pieces of carbide that we have attached to our blades to extend the life. Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any questions. There were none. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized Motion to accept bid for cleaning services for new police facility. (Conditional approval to Carlson Service based on employee police record check.) Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to accept bid for cleaning services for new police facility. (Conditional approval to Carlson Service based on employee police record check.) Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any questions. Chief Dearden reported, they were the low bidder. I spoke to Mr. Carlson and I have no reason to believe that they can't fulfill the contract, but I advised him part of the stipulations in the bid specs was that any of his employees that would be working within the police facility had to go through a police record background check. He's aware of that. I am assuming that he's confident that his employees will pass and that would be the condition on this approval.
