Regular Council Meeting Minutes
11-15-10
Page 13
Council President Buckholtz explained, these are the monthly itemized statements from the
Finance Department. Do we have any questions? There were none.
Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Financial Reports for October 2010
Acknowledged and Approved '
As Submitted
• First Reading of Ordinance No. 2010-40, entitled, "An emergency ordinance amending
the 2010 budget for Mayfield Village, Ohio." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as
a Whole.
Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Saponaro, Mr. Marrie,
Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Cinco, Motion Carried
Mr. Marquardt, Rules Suspended
Mr. Buckholtz
NAYS: Dr. Parker
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2010-40.
Council President Buckholtz asked_if there was any.discussion. But as far as actual, what's being spent for
what, this is what's already taken place throughout the year and you sort of have to catch
up to budget to what has been approved on the floor of Council. It is the opinion of at least
several members if not, I'm not defining a majority or a minority here, that next year we
revisit the budget and look at some hard facts on it in terms of infrastructure, debt
reduction and some of the less sexy but very important items that we talked to. the
community about in terms of passing the increased tax and things that we discussed and got
tremendous cooperation from our Department Heads and all of the people that work in
Mayfield Village. So, predicated on that, it was my recomrriendation that we moved afiead
with the budget now seeing how it's retroactive pretty much but we will be meeting. If it
takes Special Meetings or we will, Mary Beth, please, let's make sure that each Caucus you
