Regular Council Meeting Minutes <br />11-15-10 <br />Page 10 <br />the cost for some additions at the baseball fields. We already covered the Christmas Party for the <br />children. We can always use an extra hand or volunteers. It's from 1:30-330 in the Community <br />Room. It's not here, it's over in the Community Room. Last but not least, they elected a new <br />Chairman. Meg Stifler and Kate Sullivan are Co-Chairs for the next year. Our next meeting is <br />this Wednesday, November 17t'. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Information & Technologv - There was no meeting. There is no report. <br />Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported we will be meeting December 1 St in this room at <br />12:30. At that time we will be discussing off-site storage, revisions to the retention schedule <br />which are ongoing, and records disposition forms. We are having another Shred Day in May of <br />2011. Council President Buckholtz asked Mrs. Betsa about requirements in the past where <br />Council members had to attend training sessions. Mrs. Betsa stated that Council or their <br />designee must attend House Bill 9 training if they are newly-elected or if they are re-elected. <br />Every time a Council member is re-elected, the Council member either attends or they designate <br />a representative in their stead. Council President Buckholtz asked, that's what you go to and <br />then report back to us? Mrs. Betsa replied, that's correct. Council President Buckholtz asked, is <br />that coming up. Mrs. Betsa stated she has been in contact with the representative of the State <br />Auditor's office about utilizing the Civic Center for one of their training sessions since they have <br />been so successful in the past. They are scheduling now for 2011. Mrs. Mills added, the last <br />time we had a training session here, the hall was filled. <br />There was no Old Business to discuss. <br />NEW BiJSINESS,, .;; <br />Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $15,295 to Stephen Campbell <br />& Associates for u?grade to the audio recording system (approved by straw vote <br />taken November 8t ) <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of <br />$15,295 to Stephen Campbell & Associates for upgrade to the audio recording system (approved <br />by straw vote taken November 8"'). <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Chief Dearden you have <br />explained it several times. <br />Chief Deaxden stated, right. This is just, we have for many yeaxs recorded all our business phone <br />lines coming in to the police department along with radio communications audio and with the <br />changeover to the Cisco phone system, there's a need to upgrade the audio system to allow it to <br />integrate with that IT system.
