Regular Council Meeting Minutes 12-20-10 Page 6 Beautification Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported that we had our meeting on November 30tn The Minutes have not been distribtited yet. As soon as they are, I will make sure they are in everyone's packet. Board of Anpeals - Mr. Marrelli reported that there was no meeting. There is no report. Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills reported that we decorated the fence along the Cemetery and also put the usual wreath on the holiday grave. Citizen's Advisorv - Mr. Marrie reported that there was no meeting in December. The next meeting is in January. , Commission on Aging - Mrs. Kalina reported that the Commission on Aging met on December 3` and pinned down last minute details for our holiday party and discussed some of the upcoming events for next year. They will meet again after the beginning of the year. Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on Monday, December 6. At that time we discussed the fitness equipment for the new facility at the Police Department, changeover of public safety equipment from the Fire Department and repair to the wall at Woodlane and also from last week the trucks. They were all on the agenda for Caucus and are on the agenda tonight as they went through Finance. Finance Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported that the Finance Committee met this evening, December 20 as well as last Monday for our Caucus and our Finance Council meeting. We had 20 expenditures on the agenda tonight. All were recommended for approval as well as two Ordinances and three Resolutions. Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills reported that a week ago Wednesday in the snowstorm we had about 60 people show up for our annual potluck dinner which is held in combination with the Mayfield Village Garden Club. It was really a successful dinner. We had wonderful hors de voures and the main course and also desserts. Thanks to the Police Department because they rescued us. They came and shoveled off the porch so we could get in and out. We are busy working at the. house right now. We are replacing a11 the windowshades on the upper windows with thermal window shades. We are trying to keep the cold air out. We are not quilting until January. Hillcrest Council of Councils - Council President Buckholtz reported that Hillcrest Council of Councils met last Saturday. It was an interesting discussion involving regionalization of certain safety forces. There was a nice presentation and election of officers. I will be Treasurer for another year or so. Mrs. Mills joined me. It was a good presenta.tion. M.A.R.C. - Mr. Thomas reported that M.A.R.C. Board met on Thursday, December 2°a Director Weinberg reported on the floor hockey for 6th, 7t' and 8th grade. The flag football for 3`d, 4t' and 5t' graders are going strong and will complete in a couple weeks. A parent suggested instead of trophies for all players, she offered to print certificates for all participants so the
