Regular Council Meeting Minutes 12-20-10 Page 5 At the party, it was the largest turnout I've ever seen in 13 years. It was the longest line. We ran out of popcorn balls actually before we hit the party for Eunice's seniors, so we actually had to go out and buy additional popcorn balls. Finally, I wanted to thank Alfredo's Restaurant because they donate over 400 popcorn balls for the party and Santa Ride. ARCHITECT - Ron Dinardo There was no report. HUMAN SERVICES - Eunice Kalina Mrs. Kalina reported that it's almost time for the opt-outs to be completed. They have until the 31St to turn in all of the paperwork. At this time we have 136 homes which have opted out of the snow removal program and 226 which opted in. The parly Bill referred to on December l lth, we had a good turnout also. It was the last nice day weather-wise that we had. It was December 11t'. It was 35-40 degrees, sunny and we had probably 80 people there. We had a Tai Chi demonstration. We had a harpist. We had lunch. We had a new Santa this year since the regular Santa for the last couple years had to be in Florida for his son's college graduation. That was an excused absence. I found a good one. He was terrific. He's lived in the Village a long time and he knew who people were. They couldn't figure out who he was. It was a really a lot of fun. It was very very nice. We have a party tomorrow. It was supposed to have been last Tuesday but of course it was cancelled because of the weather, for one of our card players 100th birthday which was actually a week ago yesterday. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate. We also had lunch for some of the leafrakers last week. Mostly the people from the Horticulture Center who helped us. We had many appreciative recipients who had their leaves raked. PLANNING DEVELOPMENT - Ted Esborn There was no report. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Menorah Lighting was successful as our tree lighting. They ate a lot of donuts that night at the tree lighting. Singing Angels, I understand was last night and sold out again. Our next meeting is sometime in January. Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that there was no meeting, so there's no report.
