DRr~FT <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />9/26/05 <br />Page 10 <br />M.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker reported that M.A.R.C. held its meeting on September 1St at 7:15. Dr. <br />Parker read the Director's Report from the Minutes, a copy of which are attached. The next <br />meeting is scheduled on October 6th at 7:00 at the Center School Teacher's Lounge. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported that Ordinance Review met on <br />Septem_ ber 13t .There were three items on the agenda. The first was the final review of the fire <br />-- - <br />safety inspection fee ordinance which is on Council's agenda tonight. That was recommended <br />for approval by the Ordinance Review Committee. The second item was a review of Chapter <br />1379 related to condominiums. That will be discussed at the next meeting. That needs to be <br />updated to standards. The last item on the agenda was a proposal to revise the permit fee <br />schedule including a miscellaneous permit fee. That will be reviewed again at the next Ordinance <br />Review Committee meeting which is the second Tuesday in October. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt reported that Planning and Zoning met this evening. As <br />Mr. Marrelli reported earlier, approval was recommended for the bunker security renovations at <br />the Progressive data center and the site plan changes at the Progressive claim center at 651 Beta <br />Drive. <br />With regard to a workshop for Planning and Zoning, Mrs. Mills asked if Skodas are coming in <br />with any plans. Mr. Marrelli responded that the next workshop for Planning and Zoning is <br />scheduled for October 20tt'. We expect to be going over some items on there. Mrs. Mills asked if <br />he is going to send out those letters. Mr. Marrelli said yes. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported that the Rec Board met on September 21St. All of the <br />spring and summer programs were reviewed. We went over the summer pool season numbers. <br />We had 10,000 additional swimming admissions this year over last year. A recommendation has <br />been made to times for next year's season which Bill and his staff are working on now. <br />The upcoming fall programs were also discussed. With regard to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic <br />Railroad trip called the "Polar Express", basically for children, tickets went on sale at 8:30 and <br />were sold out at 8:40. Bill got 80 more and they sold out instantly also. They have a waiting list <br />already. Mr. Thomas indicated that they now have three coaches, all sold out. <br />Mr. Marrie also reported that the Halloween window painting contest will be starting up in mid- <br />October. <br />The Halloween party for the children will be on Saturday, October 29tt' from 1:00-2:30. Again <br />as last year, we request some adult help, volunteers to help with that. <br />The ballfields, the two larger fields, are coming along just great with irrigation and so forth. The <br />other one is a little bit behind it, but it is still in good shape. Restrooms, scorekeepers and <br />concession areas is being planned and worked on. <br />The next meeting is October 19tH <br />
