Regular Council Meeting <br />10/24/05 <br />Page 11 <br />Party for grades 6, 7 and 8 Friday October 28th at the High School. The next meeting is <br />scheduled on Thursday, November 3`d at 7:00 p.m. at the Board of Education. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported that Ordinance Review met on <br />October 11 There were four items on the agenda, but only one of them were covered, and that <br />is Chapter 1379 dealing with converting apartments and condominiums. It is before Council <br />tonight. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt stated that there was no report. <br />Recreation Board - As Bill Thomas previously reported, Mr. Mamie stated that the window <br />contest was very successful this year. There were 23 merchants and 35 students participated. <br />The Mayfield Wildcat Teen Halloween Party will be held at the High School on Friday the 28th <br />from 7:00-10:00. They are looking for volunteers. Feel free to help. Mayfield Village and <br />Mayfield Heights are working very closely on this one. The Youth's Halloween party will be <br />here in the Community Room on October 29th from 1:00-2:30. Key Club and Boy Scouts will <br />also be helping. Mr. Mamie expressed his appreciation to the Key Club from the High School <br />and the Eagle Scouts who put a lot of time in to this. Anyone else willing to volunteer is more <br />than welcome to come up. Be here at Noon if you can. <br />The Board met regarding the Parkview Pool concerning policy items. Everything will be in <br />writing shortly so that the staff has the benefit of it while processing passes and answering <br />questions for people who may or may not be a problem on getting in to the pool. <br />The ice rink will be dropped this year. It was a real effort for the Service Department and then <br />no one showed up. It will be let go for a year to see what happens. <br />The Board works hard on what they are doing. The next meeting is November 6tn <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />2020 Vision Committee - Dr. Parker indicated that there was no meeting, however, we will get <br />information with the presentation being given by Mr. Volpe on October 26th. Citizens Advisory <br />and 2020 have been invited. Mr. Buckholtz urged everyone who could make this meeting to <br />come to it. <br />Information & Technology - Mr. Mamie reported that the server is in and has been running <br />since last Thursday. It is looking very good. Like anything else, it is in trials. Mr. Mamie <br />thanked Chief Mohr for all of his efforts in making sure this was put in the running. It looks <br />good, but we will see what happens. Like anything electronic, you need a little breakdown time. <br />Wage Review Committee -Mrs. Mills indicated that the Wage Review Committee will be <br />meeting on Wednesday, October 26th from 9:00-3:00 p.m. <br />
