Regular Council Meeting <br />11/21/05 <br />Page 8 <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt stated that at the last meeting, the City Architecture gave <br />a presentation for Town Center and preliminary plans for Beta Drive. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported that the Recreation Board met on the 16th. They talked <br />about the success of the Halloween parties for the children and the teens. MBA basketball has <br />grown. This year there are 36 teams with 300 participants and 40 volunteer coaches. The <br />Christmas party for the children will be December 17th from 1:30-3:00. Volunteers are needed. <br />The adult basketball team for men 18 and over and 35 and over is in motion. Both have 6 teams. <br />The ladies team will start in January. They also have 6 teams. <br />The next meeting will be January 18th <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />2020 Vision Committee - Dr. Parker indicated that other than the report, it has been pretty much <br />covered. <br />Information & Technology - Mr. Marrie reported that the Information & Technology <br />Committee met on November 7th and discussed the upgrade for the payroll software program. <br />Everyone agreed it was necessary and approved it. It is on tonight's agenda for approval. The <br />Finance Committee has approved it. <br />WaEe Review Comrruttee -Mrs. Mills indicated that the Wage Review Committee is planning <br />to have a meeting sometime toward the end of December. They will inform all concerned about <br />the meeting. <br />OLD B:USINE'SS ` <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"Old Business" only. <br />There were no comments. <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2005-18, entitled, "An emergency ordinance authorizing and <br />directing the Mayor to enter into a Development Agreement with Progressive Casualty Insurance <br />Company relative to the southern most part of the Northwest Quadrant." Introduced by Mayor <br />Rinker and Council as a Whole. First Reading May 18, 2005, Second Reading June 20, 2005. <br />This ordinance will remain on second reading. <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2005-45, entitled "An Emergency Ordinance Amending <br />Section 1379.04 of the Village's Codified Ordinances Relating to Condominiums." Introduced <br />by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. First Reading October 24, 2005, Second Reading <br />November 21, 2005. <br />
