Regular Council Meeting
11/21/05
Page 7
Whitehaven building, interior and exterior was approved. Two more townhouses at Parkledge
were approved.
Mayor Rinker observed that in the distance at an angle, you can see the Whitehaven building and
it has so much prominence. When it gets completely fixed up, that will make a real difference.
Board of Appeals - Mr. Marrelli indicated that there was no meeting, so there is no report.
Cemetery -Mrs. Mills reported that weather permitting; the horticulture students are working at
the cemetery at least one day a month.
Citizen's Advisory Board -Minutes were provided to Council previously.
Commission on A~in~ -Mrs. Mills read the report from Eunice Kalina, Human Services
Director, attached. Of interest is that we gave 251 flu vaccines from 9:00-11:15. We were very
busy.
December 10th is the holiday party. It is usually about 1:30.
Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. -Mrs. Cinco reported that Drainage &
Infrastructure met on October 20t . At that time, they went over all the bids that came in. Four
projects are ready to go. The rest are still waiting for signatures.
Mr. Buckholtz asked which projects were in limbo. Mr. Metzung indicated that Beecher's Brook
is in limbo and Sandalwood has met resistance. Hanover has been approved.
Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on November 7th. At that
time the purchase of three police vehicles were approved. They are on tonight. Also on tonight is
the fire truck, along with the fuel and control systems for both the service and fire department,
and bleachers for the new softball field.
Finance Committee -Mrs. Mills reported that we have 20 items on the agenda tonight. Of
those 20, Ordinance 2005-18 and 2005-45 are to be kept on second reading.
Ilistorical Society -Mrs. Mills read the report which is attached to these Minutes.
M.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker reported that M.A.R.C. met November 3`d. Some of the highlights you
should have received in your packets was a $5,000.00 donation to Mark McCartney on behalf of
Bowden Manufacturing. Floor hockey is full as well as flag football. M.A.R.C. maybe offering
girl's fast pitch practice time during the winter. MBA has 5 travel teams. One of the things of
note is how precious the various buildings are in terms of use. There is a real high usage of the
various buildings. It is hard to find time for these programs.
The next meeting will be on December 1St at 7:00 p.m.
Ordinance Review Committee - No report.
