Mr. Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Mrs. Mills asked if Chief Dearden could explain the expenditure. Chief Dearden indicated that this is our annual contract to connect with the Ohio LEADS system and our regional database system. The dollar amount reflected for 2006 actually shows a 43% reduction over the previous year's fees. The reduction was brought about because of the alternative funding legislation passed by the State and is now being funded by an additional $5.00 charge being tacked on to every traffic citation issued in this area.
