Regular Council Meeting 12/19/05 Page 10 Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2005-45. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. ROLL CALL:AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Enacted NEW BUSINESS' OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under "New Business" only. FOR DISCUSSION A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount not to exceed $2,992.62 to East Jordan Iron Works for material for sewer repairs. Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount not to exceed $2,992.62 to East Jordan Iron Works for material for sewer repairs. Roll Call: AYES: NAYS : None All Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized A motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $7,500 for various remodeling projects at the Civic Center. Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $7,500.00 for various remodeling projects at the Civic Center. Mr. Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Mr. Metzung indicated that the motion should be revised to read: "A motion to authorize an expenditure to Simmons Remodeling in an amount not to exceed $7,500 for various remodeling projects at the Civic Center." Mr. Saponaro stated that incorporated in this amount is work that was not completed by the previous contractor. It was approved, but not completed. It is now being completed by Simmons.
