Regular Council Meeting <br />12/19/05 <br />Page 9 <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported that between the Mayor and Mr. Thomas, we <br />pretty well covered the Christmas events. Mr. Marrie commented upon the nice presentation <br />made by the Mayor to Al Scaccia. It was extremely well-received by his family which had a <br />very large group in attendance. It showed that the Village does care about its residents. <br />There is a family feeling on it. His family was extremely pleased. That was very important. <br />Also, as the Mayor said, Dave did an excellent job. He related to the children extremely <br />well. Mr. Thomas added that it was one of the largest turnouts we had on the road. The <br />weather was cold but sunny. Dave did a great job. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />2020 Vision Committee - Dr. Parker indicated that there was no report. <br />Information & Technology - Mr. Marrie reported that as mentioned at Caucus, the <br />Committee will not be meeting until Mr. Diemert looked at a couple of items on the Wi-Fi, <br />Wi-Max situation. A meeting will then be scheduled after that. We will have discussion on <br />this during the meeting tonight. Mr. Marrie has a couple of questions to raise. <br />Wage Review Committee -Mrs. Mills indicated that the Wage Review Committee will be <br />meeting January 11, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. Mrs. Mills will notify the Committee of the location. <br />At that time, they will talk to Mrs. Jean Triner and her associate about different aspects of <br />wage negotiations. <br />OLD BUSINESS:;,, <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first <br />state their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the <br />items under "Old Business" only. <br />There were no comments. <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2005-18, entitled, "An emergency ordinance authorizing <br />and directing the Mayor to enter into a Development Agreement with Progressive Casualty <br />Insurance Company relative to the southern most part of the Northwest Quadrant." Introduced <br />by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. First Reading May 18, 2005, Second Reading June <br />20, 2005. <br />This ordinance will remain on second reading. <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2005-45, entitled "An Emergency Ordinance Amending <br />Section 1379.04 of the Village's Codified Ordinances Relating to Condominiums." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. First Reading October 24, 2005, <br />Second Reading November 21, 2005. <br />
