MINUTES OF TI3E SAFETY & SERVICE COMMITTEE
Mayfield Village
December 5, 2005 - 7:30 p.m.
Civic Center Fireside Room
The Safety and Service Committee met on Monday, December 5, 2005 in the Civic
Center Fireside Room. Mrs. Cinco called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Present: Mrs. Cinco and Mr. Marrie
Also Present: Chief Dearden, Lieutenant Shrefler, Mr. Metzung,
Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Betsa
AD:~TN~S]tATTION;T
Senior Snow Removal Update
Mrs. Betsa advised the Committee that following the recent snowstorm this past
Friday, December 2nd up to present, there were 23 logged complaints by residents who
had called in. Out of the 23, there was only one complaint that was X-Creme, all of the
rest were A&G. Three residents cancelled their service and requested reimbursement.
Two of those three were A&G, the other one was X-time. The other residents received
follow up telephone calls advising them that the problems with A&G would be taken
care of. Jeff Thomas contacted them and was advised that A&G is doing whatever they
can. A letter will be forwarded to A&G providing them with an ultimatum and
requesting that they advise within 48 hours if they are over their head. Mr. Marrie
agreed that he is over his head. Mrs. Betsa added that as of 4:30 today, there were a
couple of additional calls from residents indicating they still have not gotten their drives
plowed since the Friday storm. A&G was contacted by the residents. A&G's answering
machine was full.
Dispatch handled calls over the weekend as well and faxed the log over to Mrs.
Betsa. Mr. Marrie added that he had received three calls on Sunday. One of them was
absolutely furious. The drive had not been done Saturday or Sunday. That was at 4:00.
The caller was advised by A&G that three crews were out, they would get to it when
they get to it. The other caller, Barbara Smith, indicated she had not gotten her driveway
plowed either.
