<br />Regular Council Minutes <br />2-21-OS <br />Page 13 <br />O) A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $3,790 to Medtronic for two (2) <br />Lifepak 500 AED's (to replace old equipment - Fire) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of <br />$3,790 to Medronic for two (2) Lifepak 500 AED's for the Fire Department. <br />Mrs. Mills said Chief Mohr said one of the units they are replacing is 20 years old. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />P) A rnotion to authorize an additional expenditure in the amount of $9,600 not to exceed <br />$9,600 to City Architecture (Paul Volpe) <br /> <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize an additional expenditure in the <br />amount of $9,600 not to exceed $9,600 to City Architecture (Paul Volpe.) <br />Mr. Saponaro said it should be noted that the original bid was for the town center; this is specifically <br />for Beta Drive. So that is why there is an additional amount. <br />Mr. Brett said NOACA had a grant opportunity and it looked as if this is grant we can get to help <br />fund this project so we are going to try and schedule Volpe's work with the grant scheduling and we <br />should hear back in a couple of weeks as to whether or not it has a ghost's chance of getting funding <br />or not. <br />Mayor Rinker said in other words, the logistics will focus on the thing we've authorized and then we <br />will try to keep money set aside so that we don't jeopardize there being a potential [grant] from <br />NOACA. <br />Mr. Brett said I have talked with Paul on this and he is willing to- <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, when you say the grant for the project, is it the grant for the <br />analysis and the creation of the conceptual plan or are you talking for the future build out of the <br />plan? <br />Mr. Brett said it is for the architectural planning and design. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, any further comments? <br />There were none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized
