Regular Council Minutes 2-21-OS Page 13 O) A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $3,790 to Medtronic for two (2) Lifepak 500 AED's (to replace old equipment - Fire) Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $3,790 to Medronic for two (2) Lifepak 500 AED's for the Fire Department. Mrs. Mills said Chief Mohr said one of the units they are replacing is 20 years old. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized P) A rnotion to authorize an additional expenditure in the amount of $9,600 not to exceed $9,600 to City Architecture (Paul Volpe) Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize an additional expenditure in the amount of $9,600 not to exceed $9,600 to City Architecture (Paul Volpe.) Mr. Saponaro said it should be noted that the original bid was for the town center; this is specifically for Beta Drive. So that is why there is an additional amount. Mr. Brett said NOACA had a grant opportunity and it looked as if this is grant we can get to help fund this project so we are going to try and schedule Volpe's work with the grant scheduling and we should hear back in a couple of weeks as to whether or not it has a ghost's chance of getting funding or not. Mayor Rinker said in other words, the logistics will focus on the thing we've authorized and then we will try to keep money set aside so that we don't jeopardize there being a potential [grant] from NOACA. Mr. Brett said I have talked with Paul on this and he is willing to- Council President Buckholtz asked, when you say the grant for the project, is it the grant for the analysis and the creation of the conceptual plan or are you talking for the future build out of the plan? Mr. Brett said it is for the architectural planning and design. Council President Buckholtz asked, any further comments? There were none.
