Regular Council Minutes
2-21-OS
Page 15
A motion to authorize an expenditure not to exceed $3,280 to Tri-County Electric for
light fixtures at the Civic Center (Mr. Thomas' office.)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize an expenditure to authorize an
expenditure not to exceed $3,280 to Tri-County Electric for light fixtures at the Civic
Center.
Mrs. Mills clarified it is for the entire Recreation department.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $2,500 to Cuyahoga Soil and Water
Conservation District for 2005 Annual Appropriation for the Euclid Creek Watershed
Coordinator (NPDES Phase II PIPE Programs and the development of the Euclid Creek
Watershed Plan)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of
$2,500 to Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District for 2005 Annual Appropriation for the
Euclid Creek Watershed Coordinator (NPDES Phase II PIPE Programs and the development of the
Euclid Creek Watershed Plan)
Mrs. Mills asked Mr. Metzung to explain because he had some nice comments about that group.
Mr. Metzung said Euclid Creek Watershed is a group that gets together basically to work on Euclid
Creek. Among their other serious goals is the Phase Two Stormwater Regulations. Throughout the
time they have been around and we used them they have been nothing but an absolute fountain of
wealth for information. They have really helped us in getting our Phase 2 requirements off and
running for the first time and continue programs that allow us to stay on track; they are a bargain--
they and Chagrin River Watershed are both great places of information that we would spend a lot
more money to get otherwise.
Mayor Rinker said an additional note. It is an interesting fact that we have 2 different watershed
organizations to which we are a tributary so it is nice to get that kind of resource back for the overall
belonging.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
First Reading of Ordinance No. 2005- 07, entitled; "An emergency ordinance creating the position
of Part-Time Building/Electrical and Plumbing Inspector." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and
? Council as a Whole.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
