Regular Council Minutes 2-21-OS Page 4 Council President Buckholtz said I have no comments. DEPARTIVIENT HEATD REPQR'I'S; ` Service - Mr. Metzung said we are moved into the second phase of the Civic Center construction. The first phase is receiving paint today. We are waiting on the formica tops and some of the doors and windows to complete that area. The carpeting is on tonight's agenda so that will be wrapping up. The first phase should be wrapping up fairly quickly. The second phase is Recreation and they are moving along very nicely. They made a nice little office out of a coat closet which is coming along very well. If anyone notices our trucks are now supporting new signage on them; the goose is gone and we have new signage on our trucks and all our vehicles say Mayfield Village on them. Parks & Recreation Mr. Thomas said we had 36 skiers go today to Holimont Ski Resort in western New York. They should be arriving at the High School in about 5 minutes. The MBA is selling tickets for tlie CAV's /76ers game on March 18. It will be the last night; if anyone wants to buy tickets, we have fliers here. The SpringlSummer Brochure is looking very good and it will be in the mail hopefully by March lst STANDING?CQMMITTEE:REPORTS, ; t Activities Committee - Mrs. Roman said the Activities Committee is getting ready for the Appreciation Dinner. We hope everyone will be there this coming Saturday. Hors d'oeuvres at 6; dinner at 7. if you haven't RSVPed, please let me know. We will be meeting next month to finalize plans for the gazebo concerts and summer events. Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli said the Architectural Review Board met and did an approval of the Panzica/OMNI facility at 700 Beta; an exterior faqade renovation. They will be putting 3 new entrances on the building and talcing the office section out. We also did some sign work for Charter One. The signs are going up, the new logo from Bank of Scotland is green. We approved the Learning RX. Board of Appeals - Mr. Marrelli said there was no meeting; no report. Cemeterv - Mr. Saponaro said no meeting; no report. Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Saponaro said Citizen's Advisory Committee met on January 31. It was our organization meeting and then we went into our regular agenda. We elected Jim Mason as Chairman for the year. We also determined we want to have meetings on a monthly basis but we will take the months of July and August off. So we are changing from-originally we were only supposed to have meetings every other month but we decided it is going to be a monthly basis. We are trying to get a little more organized so we are going to be taking minutes. You should get minutes every month regarding what we discussed. Members have decided they will take turns acting as the minute taker for the various meetings. We discussed our goals. One of them is we want to play an advisory role on the issues and the projects being handled by th'e other committees in the Village and be a sounding board so we put ourselves out there for that. 11
