Regular Council Meeting
4-18-OS
Page 7
2020 Vision Committee - Dr. Parker said it was in our packets that there is a meeting on
Tuesday, April 26t1i at the Civic Center. Information & Technololzv - Mr. Marrie said as earlier commented by the Mayor, all our
associates from the Administration area and Recreation department have moved to their new
offices and areas this past weekend. As of today their phone systems and computers are up and
running. Ron Davis, who you have all met from Tech on Call did a good job working with
everyone to make sure the systems were working properly. All of our associates along with Chief
Mohr, Doug Metzung and his Service Department crew, John Marrelli are all to be thanked and
congratulated on a very fine job which was very quick and efficient; thus saving the Village a
whole bunch of money. They worked very hard on this and I think I'd like to offer my personal
thanks on behalf of Council to all of them for what they did to do this. As commented by Bill
Thomas earlier, there are still a lot of boxes to go through and sorted but it was a great time to
purge everything and I understand we got rid of tons of unneeded paperwork which has probably
been building up in everybody's office. The long and short of it is thanks to everybody for doing
an excellent job on the move.
Health Care Task Force - Mrs. Mills we had a Health Care Task Force meeting and we are
calling another meeting on Wednesday, May 4 at 2 p.m. for the Committee. Do you want to
change the Caucus? Mr. Marrie said I would like to request that because we need to meet and work with Ted from the
? Insurance Company to go over this whole plan and new program. We need to be better versed in
the situation so could we put the Council Caucus on May 9 instead of May 2? That would be for
approval to Council but I will throw it out there and see what you think.
Mayor Rinker said why don't we defer [decision] until later.
Mr. Marrie said okay.
Council President Buckholtz said we will consider that.
Council President Buckholtz said we have no items under Old Business so we will go into New
Business, Open Portion (another opportunity for people to speak to the items under New Business
and they will also have an opporiunity to speak as those items come up if it is relative to them.
OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state
their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under
"Old Business" only.
There were no comments.
