Special Council Minutes <br />5/9/OS <br />Page 14 <br />• A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $4,088 to Cedar Point <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of <br />$4,088 to Cedar Point. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Marrie said this is a wash. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $3,070 to Santee Security for <br />the Civic Center <br />Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of <br />$3,070 to Santee Security for the Civic Center. <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />, <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />L:. <br />• Adelphia Communications to be acquired by Time Warner and Comcast <br />Council President Buckholtz addressed Mr. Diemert and asked, is there anything that we need to <br />do at this point? <br />Mr. Diemert said no; just to reiterate, I think I sent out a piece of correspondence on it- <br />Adelphia, as you know, is being sold to Time Warner. The bankruptcy judges still have to <br />approve everything but between and the end of the year we will probably get notice from the <br />purchaser of this asset which has our contract asking for your approval to change ownership. At <br />that time we can make sure that our contract terms will not be changed. We can enforce our <br />contract against any subsequent owner-that is in the contract itsel£ So, we will keep you posted <br />as soon as we learn anything. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, so we will have a little bit of business on that eventually? <br />Mr. Diemert replied, eventually. <br />• A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $3,800 to City Architecture <br />for planning and design services
