Regular Council Minutes <br />5/16/OS <br />Page 5 <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Roman said the Activities Committee has not had a meeting but <br />enjoyed a nice Pancake Breakfast. There were a lot of volunteers. We were down a little bit in <br />attendance but we still served well over 700 people. Our next event will be `SOs Night on June <br />11 which we are looking forward to. We will probably meet in early June. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli said the Board met and approved a replacement <br />sign for Fisher's Tavern. They are going to reuse their old sign and put a new frame on it. <br />Board of Anueals - Mr. Marrelli said there was no meeting; no report. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said the horticulture students will be planting flowers at the Cemetery <br />on May 23 and at the Historical House. Roger Remec is retiring in June. <br />Citizen's Advisorv - Mrs. Cinco said the committee will be meeting next Monday, May 23. <br />Mrs. Mills read the report from Mrs. Kalina, attached. <br />Drainage & Infrastructure/Stomrwater Management - Mrs. Cinco said the Drainage & <br />Infrastructure Committee has not met. We are still out evaluating all the properties. We are <br />. , <br />roughly one-third done; a lot of properties to see this year. <br />Safetv & Service - Mrs. Cinco said the committee met May 9. We discussed the ordinance for fire <br />prevention-the re-inspection; we asked that be passed onto Ordinance Review. A motion to change <br />the vehicle company for a savings $1,639 for the gator. Most of these items were taken care of at our <br />Special Council Meeting last week. Safety & Service wanted Elliot's driveway investigated (to see <br />what that problem is with the sewer); and we discussed TC-3. <br />Finance - Mrs. Mills said we had 6 items on the agenda tonight. All were recommended for approval <br />except item #5 which is Ordinance 2005-18; we would like to put that on first reading only please. <br />Historical Societv - The Cuyahoga 1858 map is being repaired and copied. Two of our <br />members visited Mayfield Heights' town hall meeting at their invitation to inform their residents <br />of our society and for the recent events at the museum. 1976 slide show negatives are being <br />processed. Six of our members attended a regional area Historical Society meeting in Russell. <br />The Russell representative who is at Progressive will put the Mayfield Township Historical <br />Society on their in-house donation list which means that any donation from Progressive will be <br />matched by the company. Horticulture students will be doing spring clean-up in the gardens. <br />M.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker said M.A.R.C. met on May 12 at the Board of Education building. <br />Following discussion, Kay Vincent presented a year-end report; Phil Weinberg discussed our <br />highly successful flag football program for 6th - 8th graders which will conclude this Sunday and <br />next year an expanded program is expected. Mr. Bill Thomas reviewed the background check <br />policy for volunteer coaches for M.A.R.C. and the Village sports' leagues. He also discussed the <br />Summer LaCrosse program being offered July 11 through August 10. The next M.A.R.C. <br />meeting will be Thursday, July 2 na at the Board office.
