DRAFT
Council6/20/OS
Page 19
Mr. Buckholtz stated he would like to put it on the Agenda for the next meeting, in July.
Mr. Buckholtz feels sooner is better than later.
Mayor Rinker stated a few months back, the folks at Fairmount were inspecting as to what would
function well, because we know we want to create an auditorium; we need to focus on sound,
lighting, and the overall physical plan. We are at least dealing with folks who are not inventing a
wheel or have us reinvent the wheel. We received more detailed information from the meeting
last week. Probably by July, we should be on the brink to get some specific numbers.
Mayor Rinker stated if you haven't been through the Civic Center in the last few weeks, you
should; people in the public are always welcome to come through. People that have come
through are very impressed with the quality of the work, the over all esthetics of it and are really
getting a sense of how much of a potential there is for the structure. It is very gratifying.
Mr. Buckholtz asked for any other comments and there were none.
?
