Regular Council Meeting <br />1-22-01 <br />Page 10 <br />Mr. Brett said the $8,000 must be borne by the Village. There was preliminary discussion of <br />splitting the final engineering cost. One of the -things that will assist in the Issue II funding is by <br />bringing the Metroparks and Gates Mills in. He thinks the alliance of the 3 entities will more than <br />pay for any up-front costs. <br />Mayor Rinker said the typical funding formula is a combination of contribution, grant and <br />adva.ntageous lending. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />• Community Room Renodation-Report from Finance Committee <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount not to <br />exceed $10,000 for renovation of the Community Room. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there was any discussion. <br />Dr. Parker asked when the renovation will occur. <br />Mrs. Roman said if Council approves it tonight the work will be done in February when we have the <br />room blocked off [for the renovation.] The people are available to do the work and the wallpaper <br />will be available. <br />Dr. Parker asked who will make the determination as to what we will use. <br />Mayor Rinker said the Administration is coordinating the work--Donna, Bemie, Doug and an <br />interior decorator has come in. No matter what you do you will always find someone who wants to <br />do it differently.
