Regular Council Meeting , <br />11-19-01 <br />Page 8 <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 2001-23, entitled; "An emergency ordinance consenting to the <br />co-location of Voicestream PCS II Corp. as a tenant on the 610 S.O.M. Center tower." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2001-23. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there were any comments <br />There were no comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 2001-24, entitled; "An emergency ordinance amending Chapter <br />1333 of the Codified Ordinances relative to the National Electric Code." Introduced by Mayor <br />Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2001- 24. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there were any comments. <br />Mr. Buckholtz asked Mr. Samac if he had said there were about 300 different items on there. <br />Mr. Samac said the code is changed on a 3-year cycle. Typically, there is between 1,600 and 2,000 <br />proposals. Normally, they accept about 300 of those. (A lot of them are editorial-type changes.) <br />There will be a couple of new chapters and sections. This is an update the State has adopted <br />effective January 1St for anything other than 1, 2 and 3-family dwellings. <br />Mr. Buckholtz questioned if this puts us in compliance with the State and Federal regulations. <br />Mr. Samac said yes.
