ia-i7-oi
Page 23
Council President Marquardt said the vote here is whether or not to put this on the agenda which
would put it on first reading tonight.
ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mrs. Mills, Dr. Parker
NAYS: Mr. Ilacqua, Council President Marquardt
ABSTAIN: Mr. Busa
Mr. Busa said as a departing Councilman, I do not think it is fair for me to choose sides and
jeopardize future Councils. With your permission, I will abstain.
Council President Marquardt said it is your prerogative.
Mrs. Roman said there are 4 AYE votes.
Mr. Diemert said that is a majority; that is all you need. So, we should give it a number and a first
reading.
Mrs. Roman said it will have number 2001-32.
Mr. Diemert read the title as follows:
First Reading of Ordinance No. 2001-32, "An emergency ordinance amending the zoning
classification of Permanent Parcel Numbers 831-37-008 and 831-37-009 and 831-37-010 located in
Mayfield Village from Residential to Local Business and submission to the electorate at the next
General or regularly scheduled Primary or Special Election." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and
Council as a Whole.
Mr. Diemert said, Mr. President, you may want to refer it to Planning too and it can go either
direction from Planning to you or as the Mayor suggested or it can go to Planning from you.
Council President Marquardt said it will obviously go to Planning and Zoning if they have a
Workshop.
Mrs. Mills said she will call Dorothy in the morning and we will get something started for you if it
has to be a Special Meeting or what.
CLOSING COMMENTS
Everyone extended wishes for happy holidays; happy new year.
Mr. Ilacqua said I would like to state publicly that it has been an honor and a pleasure to serve on
this body with you, Vince. You will be missed. Your service not only to this Village but your
Country has been outstanding. I appreciate your friendship and your guidance at times. I wish
you the very best; many more years and good health with you and your family. Thank you,
again.
