We also approved the lot split in that area.
Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said the Recreation Board met December 5. Items discussed
include an outdoor area for ice skating. The parking lot at Wiley Park has been used in the past.
The picnic shelter could be used for a shelter and a permanent area could be planned as part of
the recreation area south of the pool. Also, the Board reviewed the Recreation Survey that was
completed in 1998 and is preparing another survey to update things with that development.
Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said there was no report. We did not successfully win
the DOPWIC awards so we will plan other strategies.
SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS
SOM Widening Committee - Mr. Ilacqua deferred his update to Mike Burgess of URS.
Mr. Burgess said we have pretty much completed the plans and specifications for the roadway
widening and they are at O.D.O.T. for review. One of the key aspects that we have been waiting
on is the Federal right-of-way authorization approval. O.D.O.T. District 12 has completed their
review of our right-of-way plans and requests and they have been forwarded to the central office.
We expect Federal authorization any day now. That will allow us to finish the appraisal process
and actually start making offers to the property owners that are impacted by the project. A
couple of key items before Council tonight: 1) dedication of the Village right-of-way for
transportation purposes; 2) approval for the first contract on the water line relocation work which
also includes an element for clearing and grubbing of the properties to allow C.E.I. to start their
utility relocation work. Everything seems to continue to be moving along fairly well; there were
minor glitches. Now, we are just waiting for O.D.O.T. to give us approval on the right-of-way
authorization.
OLD BUSINESS
Motion to amend & Third Readina of Ordinance No. 2001-20, entitled; "An emergency
ordinance amending Section 1157.08 (b) of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village relating
to fences in side and rear yards."
