MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />january 24, 2000 <br />T'he Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, January 24, 2000; at <br />8:00 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President <br />Bill Marquardt presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, <br />Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: Mr.Ilacqua <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Diemert, <br />Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, Mr. Samac, Chief Stevens, Mr. <br />Thomas and Mrs. Roman <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />There were no comments. <br />CONSIDERATTON OF MINUTES <br />December 13,1999 - Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to approve the <br />minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMlMENTS FROIVI 1VIAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker said it is great to see everyone here. We wi]1 get to the portion of the <br />meeting momentarily where we will swear you in. Last year, I talked about the <br />proposed widening of S.O.M. Center Road. We continue to face a very big challenge. I <br />also see this as an excellent opportunity. There should be little doubt in anyone's mind <br />from people who are here tonight that in order to make things work in the long run for <br />our community, it takes our mutual support and our mutual involvement. I am a firm <br />believer that if we approach tough problexns with a positive attitude, constructively, if <br />we are willing to be open minded, willing to listen and willing to speak about the <br />issues, ultimately, we will work together.
