Regular Council Meeting 2-21-00 Page 8 Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Busa, ma.de a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $21,348.00 to Cuyahoga Regional Information System (CRIS) Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized ¦ Fireworks (Approval of Expenditure recommended by Finance Committee) Mr. Busa, seconded by Dr. Parker, ma.de a motion to authorize an expenditure not to exceed $10,000 for fireworks for the 2000 Fourth of July celebration. Chief Mohr reported the Ohio House and Senate have ratified the new fireworks bill and put all the responsibility on the cities. We will be launching from behind Center School. For the record, it was the concern of the Police Department tha.t we could not control security down there. If that site filled up, we would not ha.ve a place to put the extra people. Mayor Rinker asked about perimeter controls. Chief Mohr said he feels we can work within the confines of what we have here using a 4" shell. Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, NIr. Center Road Widening Project Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to accept the Issue II grant monies for the S.O.M. Center Road widening project. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Grant Monies Accepted First Reading of Ordinance No. 2000-02, entitled; "An ordinance authorizing payment to the City of Cleveland Water Department for the annual hydrant usage fee for the year 2000." (Motion to Table) Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Council President Marquardt suggested leaving Ordinance No. 2000-02 on first reading. Dr. Parker asked when it should be paid. Chief Mohr said the bill came January 1". We usually in January or February. ,:
