1-28-02 Page 12 • A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $5,418.55 to Cleveland Division of Water fox annual hydrant fees Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $5,418.55 to Cleveland Division of Water. Dr. Parker said we will be including a letter to them with the check [asking them to more promptly service our community--especially re hydrant repair.] Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None First Reading of Ordinance No. 2002-01, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing expenditures relating to MORE 2001 Technology Project upgrading the Police Department and Dispatch Center's computer systems in an amount not to exceed $26,000." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2002-01. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion--does everyone understand the reimbursement? Mrs. Cinco said it is my understanding that this is instead of pieces and parts, this is kind of an umbrella for the package. Mr. Brett said for all but the major software components. Council President Buckholtz said this is for a wonderful grant the Police Department has taken upon themselves. I don't know if Lt. Dearden directly has been working on this; he has been perfecting the art of grant-writing proposals. Mr. Brett said this is probably the 4th or Sth grant we have received.
