1-28-02
Page 5
Sewer Liaison Committee - Council President Buckholtz said we did not meet. He addressed
Mr. Brett and asked: do you have any idea as to the time frame for the small Government
Funding.
?.
Mr. Brett said no; I will find out.
SPECIAL COMMITTEES
S.O.M. Center Road Widening Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said the S.O.M. Center Road Widening
Committee did not meet in January. Things have started in earnest on S.O.M., poles are being
relocated, surveyors and appraisers are out. URS has been busy as has C.E.I. We will be
meeting Tuesday, February 5 at 8 p.m. He addressed Mr. Metzung and asked if he had anything
to add.
Mr. Metzung said we are continuing to move along. I met with Willoughby Hills with regard to
some of the issues that both cities will have going. It is moving forward.
OLD BUSINESS '
Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2001-32, entitled; "An emergency ordinance amending the
zoning classification of Permanent Parcel Nos. 831-37-008, 831-37-009, and 831-37-010 located
in Mayfield Village from residential to local business and submission to the electorate at the next
General or Regularly scheduled Primary or Special Election. (First Reading 12-17-01)
Council President Buckholtz said this is the ordinance amending the zoning classification for
permanent parcel numbers 831-37-008, 009 and 010. This is the second reading for the rezoning
of the properties on Wilson Mills. Did we want to have discussion on that?
Mrs. Mills said I would like to make a comment; I am making a motion to table the Ordinance
No. 2001-32 until a recommendation from Planning and Zoning has been forwarded to Council.
The next Planning and Zoning Meeting will be on February 4 and will only be our organizational
meeting. The next workshop meeting will be on February 21 and will be a combination meeting
of Planning and Zoning and Board of Appeals. The next formal meeting for Planning and
Zoning will be on March 4. I am requesting at this time that Council, as a whole, consider
tabling this ordinance.
Mr. Ilacqua seconded the motion.
Dr. Parker addressed Mr. Diemert and asked him the difference between tabling and what Mr.
Schiemann was requesting--a postponement of either the second or any additional readings.
Mr. Diemert said they are consistent; to table it would be to postpone it. You could do the
second reading if you wanted to.
