MINLTTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />- March 25, 2002 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Monday, March 25, 2002 at 9:01 p.m. <br />in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Bill Buckholtz <br />presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Council President Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ilacqua, <br />Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: NIr. Marquardt <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Ms. Calta, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Metzung, <br />and Mrs. Roman <br />Council President Buckholtz requested the agenda be amended for two items: to get on record <br />that Jim Hopkins is the Agent of Record for Dental Insurance; to roll over dental for 60 days. <br />There were no objections. <br />Agenda Amended <br />Mayor Rinker administered oaths of office to Brian Cinco and Tom Puette as members of the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />• A motion to authorize a new health insurance plan with Anthem for 60 days <br />(beginning 4-1-02) pending negotiation of the final plan. <br />Council President Buckholtz said Council just met with the Health Care Task Force. The plan <br />seems to have gotten a mostly favorable response. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to authorize a new health insurance plan <br />with Anthem for 60 days (beginning 4-1-02) pending negotiation of the final plan. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked if the Police Deparhnent and Law Deparhnent will correspond. <br />Mayor Rinker said yes; the Police union has legal counsel to convey things. <br />A brief discussion was held. <br />Mayor Rinker reminded Council that the wage ordinance contract with employees expires at the <br />end of this year.
