It is our intention to continue the benefit.
Ms. Calta confirmed that the motion does not have to specify the name of the carrier but should
state that "it is the same level of benefits."
A motion to authorize the Village to continue dental coverage for 60 days as presented by
Jim Hopkins.
A brief discussion was held. The carrier may change to MetLife.
Mr. Brett said dental insurance has changed previously from Guardian to Fortis.
Ms. Calta said the contract could be extended for 30 days, then you can get the word out that the
carrier is changing.
Council President Buckholtz said it is Council's intention to continue the dental care with the
same level of benefits through Jim Hopkins. We will come back with an ordinance for approval
[at a future meeting.]
Mr. Ilacqua, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize the extension of the Employee
Dental Plan for 60 days.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Dental Coverage Extended
?
First Reading of Ordinance No. 2002-10, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing a
contract with the Longo Construction Company."
