Regular Council Meeting <br />4-22-02 <br />Page 15 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We'll put together some ideas and brainstorm on how we're going to attack the problems each <br />year. <br />Mrs. Mills said she attended the Ohio Bicentennial Meeting on April 11 on behalf of Mayfield <br />Village and the Mayfield Township Historical Society. The celebration will start on March lst, <br />2003, at Chillicothe, Ohio. The historical markers are available at the cost of $1,400 to $1,800 if <br />we want to put one somewhere in the Village. The next barn to be painted will be in Lake <br />County in June. Applications for the tree grant deadline is May 6th and we have akeady talked to <br />our Finance Director. They have a lot of inerchandise available but you have to be a licensed <br />dealer. They make a little replica of one yellow barn they painted with Ohio that you can buy. <br />They suggested we fly the Ohio State flag when all of this starts. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if we will have the log cabin finished in time for this. <br />Mrs. Mills said yes. <br />Mr. Brett said he has given Council the confidential draft of the 2001 financial statements; that is <br />confidential and may not be shared at this point. Tomorrow, there is a post audit meeting with <br />the auditors at 1:00 p.m. at Village Hall. After that, the draft is no longer confidential and is <br />available for public scrutiny. If you have any questions on the financial statements, please call <br />me. <br />Mrs. Roman reminded everyone that the May Caucus Meeting will be on the second Monday; <br />May 13. (The Board of Elections will be setting up for the election on the first Monday.)
